Eric Lokke
Host Club: The Ice House Annex - Los Angeles
"We caught Eric Lokke at the Ice House Annex in Los Angeles where he showcased for a packed house. It's been a while since we caught this comedian. Eric's been working. What we saw was jaw dropping, fall-out-of-your-chair funny from start to finish. NO SLOW POINTS. NO stretching for time. The audience was laughing consistently and hard. This is the comedian that has everyone talking after a show. Eric delivered some of most original and the funniest material we've seen anywhere in three years. He delivers fresh new comedy material that works 100% of the time. I don't care where your club is, get this comedian booked and watch him sell seats as a feature. Eric Lokke may be LA's next hot stand-up comedy star. There's no stoping this comedy freight train." - Comedy Review by ComedyCritic.com

Host Club: Improv - Addison, TX
"This is a don't miss, hard to find comic. If you can catch him, it's going to be pure chance at this point. Now living and working in LA, this comedian is HOT HOT HOT! He delivers an edgy, flat-out funny set, that you will take to the water cooler for a week. He's got that kind of comedy that has you rolling the floor. Yes, he really said it... now close your mouth, you just look stupid with your mouth hanging open. I guarantee you won't forget this stand-up, we hear he's building a loyal following in small black and latino clubs. Other comics even like this one. You can tell he's pushing the limits of taste with a sharp probe. His fast witt is scary. We caught him adlibbing... he unravelled a heckler that had the nerve to try some distracting table conversation while wearing a "Members Only" shirt. Don't do it. He never missed a beat. Turn off the spotlight this guy can light the stage with verbal lightening when he gets wound up. This young comedian is going to be very BIG. Give him more stage." - Comedy Review by The Comedy Critic

Jeff Justus
Host Club: Improv - Addison, TX
"Watch out for this one. Jeff delivers a mix of hillarious comedy and some dead-on impressions. But it's all funny. Jeff has that polish you have to love. If you get a chance to see Jeff I think you're going to want more. Jeff just needs more exposure. He's definitely ready for primetime." - Comedy Review by The Comedy Critic

Kier Spates
Host Club: Crystal's Entertainment Complex - Dallas
Dallas - "Kier Spates was back in town at Crystal's in Arlington fast becoming one of Dallas' comedy hot spots, for another lesson in comedy from LosCodie and DaMone's, Old School Player New School Fool team. Kier is all pro. DO NOT MISS THIS COMEDIAN. Get tickets NOW! Kier can blast the stage with some of the best comedy material in the business. Kier is a loaded comedy freight with momentum. He plays the audience like a puppeteer. But you haven't heard comedy until he throws his head back and starts trying to talk his way out of a Taliban beheading. Holy cow... it's funny. Even more importantly, Kier delivers high impact comedy consistently. He doesn't seem to be effected by the size or temperament of the audience, where ever he takes the stage, he owns it. Kier is fast becoming a comedy legend." - Comedy Review by ComedyCritic.com

Host Club: Comedy Thursdays at the Caribbean Grill
"We caught Kier Spates on a recent trip through Dallas when he was headlining Thursday Night Comedy at the Caribbean Grill. Kier brought a truckload of top quality original comedy material. This is a comedian you have to respect. When you can lock in stage presence, delivery, great material and timing, you get a night full of laughs. Whether Kier is exploring the empty parking lot of a mexican reunion or explaining the meaning of "Be Real", Kier had the audience 100%. But watchout when he gets wound up. Keir is capable of some of the funniest comedy on the American stage when he starts blasting his lightening fast rants. It will leave you breathless. Just wind him up and watch him fly... Kier has the material, the talent, timing and the delivery to headline anywhere an audience wants to laugh." - Comedy Review by ComedyCritic.com

Los Codie
Host Club: Crystals Entertainment Complex - Arlington
Arlington - "Los Codie is building a reputation for hot, hot comedy in the DFW Mid-Cities area. If it's a Los Codie show, you are going to have fun. Recent names have included Juan Villareal, White Chocolate, Red Bone and Justin Mitchell. His shows are talent packed, fast moving professional comedy events with huge name talent. In a market with plenty of comedy choices, the best 'underground' comedy ticket in Dallas may be a Los Codie Show. We are seeing momentum build for this talented comedy entertainer and promoter in a way that's hard to describe as anything but explosive. This is truely special and if you want to witness the comedy explosion in DFW, anything "Los Codie", is a front row seat. His up-coming DVD release promises to be red hot." - Comedy Review by ComedyCritic.com

Host Club: Players Club - Dallas
"Carlos Codie, "Los Codie". That's a name Dallas comedy fans have been talking about for years. We finally caught him hosting one of his trademark shows at the Player's Club in Dallas. Stand-up comedian is only part of the story with this multi-talented comedy performer. Marked by extreme high energy, polish and professionalism, a combination that may seem to be a comedy contradiction. It's not with Los Codie. Even in the limited role of show host, we got to see what DFW comedy fans were talking about. He clearly understands the soul of comedy and the heart of his audiences. Los Codie is an entertainment original. He started out with lightning fast comic quips and then instigated what turned out to be an inspired on-stage rap showdown with a talented audience member. All that would have been enough but Los Codie took the audience into new territory as he explored a truely original concept in skit comedy that the audience absolutely loved. You're going to have to buy a ticket to see this. It's so original, so fresh, it's pure genius. Los Codie is clearly another national scale local entertainment talent that I am convinced could have monopolized the stage captivating the audience, and yet this showman honor's his audiences and the tradition of stand-up comedy by bringing some of the hotest old school and new school comic talent to his Dallas and Fort Worth stages. Get tickets early this entertainer is out growing his stages. Unstoppable." - Comedy Review by ComedyCritic.com

Mozan
Host Club: Comedy Thursdays at the Caribbean Grill
"Mozan has either been there or known somebody that just got back. This is a comedian that dishes up the kind of attitude any backsliding, deadbeat can relate to. It was a real pleasure to watch as she mined pure gold line after hilarious line. Her "$34 hamburger" and "checking account theories" are perfect originals. You just don't get this kind of comedy every day. The story about the snappy dresser with "gators" is worth the price of the ticket all by itself. Her off the cuff word tumbling drops out gems like "Sea Donkey". It's was a perfectly unexpected description that makes you do a mental double-take. If you truly love stand-up comedy you owe it to yourself to see Mozan the next time she's in town..." - Comedy Review by The Comedy Critic

Host Club: Players Club - Dallas
This time Mozan took the stage at the Player's Club in Dallas as she tried out some new material. The crowd was tough but she powered through to deliver a professional performance. The crowd clearly loved her, a favorite in Dallas comedy. Over the years, it's been a pleasure watching her material progress. Her bill collector and check writing routines are comedy classics. Keep writing, it just keeps getting funnier." - Comedy Review by ComedyCritic.com

Q
Host Club: West End Comedy Theatre - Dallas, TX
"It was "Q" at the West End Comedy Theatre for the Dallas' Funniest person contest. Long time since the first time we saw "Q". A lot more comedy this time as he brought some funny routines abou this move from Chicago to Mesquite. Seems he's been having a problem dating in the Texas heat with his hand crank auto air conditioner. "Q" has a special relationship with "Cheaters" he'll have to explain. Some of his funniest material centered on his "You Drive A Bucket if" jokes. Hope to see more. Keep'em coming "Q"! " - Comedy Review by The Comedy Critic

Q
Host Club: Part Folio - Dallas
"'Q' was hosting the underground comedy venue at Part Folio in Dallas. Great job! 'Q' delivered two of his original poetry composition's spiced with some comic commentary. Keep it coming...'Q'. " - Comedy Review by ComedyCritic.com WEB SITE LINK

Scott Allen
Host Club: West End Comedy Theatre - Dallas, TX
"Scott took the stage in the Dallas' Funniest Person Contest at the West End Comedy Theatre with a fast comedy delivery style. He covered a lot of comedy ground in his set including Subway, Back to the Future, Sharpies and a bee attack. Great comedy hope to see more warped thinking of Scott Allen. " - Comedy Review by The Comedy Critic

Johnny Elbow
Host Club: West End Comedy Theatre - Dallas, TX
"It was hot comic Johnny Elbow in for the Dallas Funniest Person Contest at the West End Comedy Theatre. Johnny has been writing too. It was so good that he was one of the four that past through to the next level with parking lot security on stilts, his 61 year old Dad, vocabulary rumbles in the hood, and softball. Someone needs to check Johnny's house for "girlfriends", his has been tied up for a while now. Poor girl. " - Comedy Review by The Comedy Critic

Kirk Moreno
Host Club: West End Comedy Theatre - Dallas, TX
"Here's a comer, Kirk Moreno took the stage at the West End Comedy Theatre with a strong performance. I look for really good things from Kirk. He's sharp and has a smooth Latin delivery. Great stage presence. His Latino Day Laborer was fun as was his use of an inner tube remark that had the crowd laughing. But he needs to be careful of bumper stickers. " - Comedy Review by The Comedy Critic

Bobo Lamb
Host Club: Player's Club - Dallas, TX
"It was Bobo Lamb at the Player's Club in Dallas giving the performance of a lifetime, an uphill battle considering he had to follow one of the all-time great comedy performances by Kier Spates. But that didn't slow Bobo Lamb down. He took off like he was shot from a double barrelled shot gun giving the audience everything he had. He proved as good as his CD title "The Great Bobo Lamb: Live". Bobo grew up poor, broke but he loves his Mama. No fan of casino's everything came round to the point that he "Shouldn't have even been gambling in the first place". We got the Bobo hygiene instructions and found out that he's got a roach killer's instinct as a result of being roused by scampering feet. We even heard about a pizza delivery scam. Bobo is extremely funny, great material, perfect timing and high energy. Thanks for a great show Bobo. " - Comedy Review by The Comedy Critic

Paul Varghese
Host Club: Addison Point - Addison
"Paul Varghese is one of Dallas' hot comedians. Whether you know him from "Indians at the Improv", Comedy Central or "Last Comic Standing", Paul delivers every time he takes the stage. Paul Varghese is a stand-up artist. Timing, variety, impressions, quality... it's all a part of the comic mix. Whether it's Waffle House lingo, the ability of a Baptist church to draw a crowd in the south, college humor or geek speak, the audience always get's it. Paul is comedy insurance guaranteed to deliver a solid set with plenty of laughs. While at the Point in Addison, Paul was trying some strong new material that should contribute even more laughs and range. If you haven't seen Paul Varghese in person, do it now before he leaves the Dallas area for a bigger market." - Comedy Review by ComedyCritic.com

Raj Sharma
Host Club: Backdoor Comedy Club - Dallas
"We caught Raj Sharma at the Backdoor Comedy Club in Dallas, hosting the show after doing a short set that was solid comedy. This is a polished professional that will surprise you with hilarious routines that strike comedy gold. His conversion was clearly an inspiration, but we aren't talking religion. His grandmother's assessment of his girlfriends was priceless. Watch for Raj in a club near you, if you're lucky." - Comedy Review by The Comedy Critic

Jason James
Host Club: Addison Point - Addison
"This time he was delivering "Jason James style" comedy at the Point in Addison. From a duck tape start, he quickly wound up into the his signature head-thumping, mic-frenzy as he appeared to be exploring new territories of frustration over gated, retirement, golfing, communities among other trials of patience. How do you describe Jason's style? You don't. You pay for a ticket to see him. Another masterful performance by Jason James. Jason James has all the right stuff to become a comedy legend. " - Comedy Review by ComedyCritic.com

Host Club: Backdoor Comedy Club - Dallas
"The Backdoor Comedy Club delivered a solid night of laughs thanks in no small part to Jason James who showed us the kind of talent that won't get much feature work. Great comedians would have a hard time following this act. His cock-eyed glasses were the first clue. This on-the-edge comedian blasted the stage with a series of hilarious over-the-top airport security routines that literally dented a mic. Jason James delivered nothing short of a star quality performance. A stand-out among the 15 talented performers that took the stage. Someone needs to pay this comedian to stay in the spotlight." - Comedy Review by The Comedy Critic

Dean Lewis
Host Club: Improv - Addison
"I saw Dean Lewis at the Improv for a private show this time. Normally, a regular at the prestigious Dallas venue it was a "Call Dean for a Good Time" night. Ever the consummate host and talented comic we caught what seemed to be classic Dean Lewis comedy. Carefully timed and planned, Dean delivered a solid comedy set with many of his best jokes. It's the goofy looks, the quirky stage "over-comfort" that reminds you of Steve Martin's early years. You might call it "twinkle in the nerd comedy" that makes Dean Lewis comedy more than his jokes. If you don't get the delivery, you don't get the comedian. I think Dean is on to something and his fans love it. Check Dean out the next time he's at the Improv. I think you'll see what I mean. " - Comedy Review by The Comedy Critic

Piper
Host Club: Comedy Thursdays - Caribbean Grill - Dallas
"Piper gets around. Normally a headliner in his own right. We found him at the Caribbean Grill contributing to a great evening of comedy. Once again Piper delivered. It all started by teaching us the value of quarters, a street-smart concept cold hearted bankers might even warm up to once explained by Piper. He mixed in some new material and then he moved in with his Burney Mack impressions, some of the best comedy in the business disguised in "Mack talk". His signature three wish Genie was all Piper. Piper is "big joke" style, headliner comedy. When you hear Piper's scheduled, schedule two tickets for a great night. " - Comedy Review by The Comedy Critic

Da'Mone Jones
Host Club: Part Folio - Dallas
Dallas - " This may be the fastest development of a comedy career, based on a lifetime of being funny. Da'Mone Jones is earning his spot in Dallas comedy with funny material that just keeps building. The Los Codie partner in Old School Player New School Fool, we caught Da'Mone two nights in a row. The first night was the popular Crystal's and then we caught him doing a relatively new underground comedy room at Part Folio's on Preston Road. Some of his set was new at Crystal's and he had it refined and defined for major laughs the next night at Part Folio where he was headlining. Da'Mone is moving up fast." - Comedy Review by ComedyCritic.com

Host Club: Crystals Entertainment Complex - Arlington
Arlington - "It was Arlington's Crystal's Entertainment Complex and another brilliant LosCodie show. First up was Da'Mone a comedian we keep seeing as host. Not this night. We caught Da'Mone featuring with a bucket-load of new funny. Da'Mone has MATERIAL. Looks like he's been holding out as he delivered a solid 20 minutes of laughs at a level equal to his impeccable stage presence and GQ look. He locked the audience in with top level comedy that captured everyone's attention. This is a tough room where you have to earn your audience and Da'Mone did it. It is a rare thing to see a comedian 'earn' a room and own an audience." - Comedy Review by ComedyCritic.com

Host Club: Players Club - Dallas
We caught Da'Mone hosting the Saturday show at the Players Club. with Juan Villareal. He dressed like a pro, delivered a few hot dance steps and then he proved his chops when he popped some real comedy between the acts. Da'Mone kept the audience going with a strong piece about hurricane names and welfare. Then he followed with his observations about single bananas that had the audience floor stompin. Da'Mone is a young comedian with what looks to be a funny future." - Comedy Review by The Comedy Critic

Linda Stogner
Host Club: Backdoor Comedy Club - Dallas
"Backdoor Comedy Club is the elegant comedy home to the "out-of-this-world" comedy of Linda Stogner. Linda is an original and thank goodness Dallas has her. You have to be pure Texan to understand the subtly of a Huntsville reunion. This comedian is electrifyingly funny. If you don't believe me, just ask the neighborhood squirrels. Linda has a rare comic-theatrical delivery that adds a third dimension to every laugh. I'm convinced, Linda could deliver lead balloons that would have audiences in stitches. Linda is one of Dallas' comedy legends. Comedy needs more originals like Linda Stogner. OK that was probably an oxymoron of some sort, but Linda Stogner isn't." - Comedy Review by The Comedy Critic

Anastasia
Host Club: Comedy Thursdays at the Caribbean Grill
"Holly cow!!!! Anastasia is a blowout, blockbuster, one woman, stage blasting show! Don't confuse this comedian with any one else... well you can't. No one commands a stage like this powerhouse. My gosh Dallas has an original... what a show! If you missed this, you missed an EVENT! Pure talent... Move over Woopie, this comedian would have made Redd Foxx blush and then he'd probably have stolen a few lines. She's got a few they'll never put on any TV but she could make somebody rich on Pay-Per-View cable. What a headliner!!!! Once you lock in the dialect that's pure verbal hip-hop art, you find a multi-layered humor that is nothing but original. If you have a club, book her. But be warned, she's gonna pass a bucket once or twice. You're jaw will drop when the audience stuffs it with cash, why? Cause she's that funny!" - Comedy Review by The Comedy Critic

Gerald Young
Host Club: Rose Petal Ballroom - Dallas
Grand Prairie - "We caught Gerald Young featuring at the new Rose Petal Ballroom in Grand Prairie. Gerald delivered a hot performance. We usually catch Gerald in his own room at the Caribbean Grill where he self-limit's his stage time to hosting. So it was a rare treat to get more of this comedian's set as a feature. It just goes to show you the level of talent in Dallas. Gerald worked the audience like only Gerald can. His signature broad rimed hat and martini glass comedy is unmistakable." - Comedy Review by ComedyCritic.com

Gerald Young has a smooth way of turning audience conversation into the funniest comedy. He's got that easy banter that delivers lines to make your sides hurt. His "Office Party" routine was anything but routine. You're going to love his definitions of "country" and "comedy". Mr. Young has a stage style that sets him apart as comedy classic. If you get a chance to catch Gerald Young do it and bring two friends. Currently he's the "Impresario of Comedy", every other Thursday at the Caribbean Grill in Dallas. You really don't know comedy until you've spent some time immersed in the comedy tradition that is Comedy Thursdays at the Caribbean Grill. Thanks to Gerald Young, it's back. Comedy Thursdays at the Caribbean Grill is a Dallas grass roots, comedy tradition, you don't want to miss. " - Comedy Review by The Comedy Critic

Ced-Man
Host Club: Part Folio - Dallas
Dallas - "We caught this comedy powerhouse at The Underground Comics show at Part Folio in North Dallas where he brought together some of Dallas' finest for a night of laughs. Ced-Man opened the show to a stone-cold audience. He took a sledge to their funnybone's and had them warmed and ready for the rest of his show as he explained his Grandfather's taste for turkey. A late start left him little time to deliver his best material but he did a great job with time he had. We always enjoy seeing Ced-Man, one of Dallas' most loved comedians." - Comedy Review by ComedyCritic.com

Host Club: Addison Point - Addison
Dallas - "We caught Ced Man again, this time featuring for Kier Spates at the Caribbean Grill in Dallas. Ced Man may be one of the most hard working comedians in Texas. We got to see more of Ced Man's funny material. Every time we see him, he's got morel. This time he covered eyebrow plucking, chicken eating, multiple personality, cloning and grandmother's cookies. Just try to tell us that's not some territory. Everyone was laughing. Listen closely I think he's layering jokes." - Comedy Review by ComedyCritic.com

Host Club: Comedy Thursdays at the Caribbean Grill - Dallas
Ced-Man, just back from LA, was a real pro last night. He delivered top comedy, energy and laughs to a small crowd that really needed a show. I don't know where he got it, but his "Da Dup Da Dup" and "Louisiana Bullshit" may be the start of something big for this comic. FUNNY FUNNY STUFF! Ced-Man was the star of the show! That's what I call bringing your game." - Comedy Review by The Comedy Critic

Host Club: Comedy Thursdays at the Caribbean Grill - Dallas, TX
"This is a strong, comedian with a great comedy future. Watch for him to become a major name. Ced Man landed some solid blows when we caught him trying out some new material Comedy Thursdays at the Caribbean Grill. He's definitely got the right stuff. We'll be watching for him in the future. More coming...." - Comedy Review by The Comedy Critic

Shawn Halpin
Host Club: Addison Improv - Dallas
"We caught Shawn Halpin hosting the Improv in Addison for headliner Doug Stanhope. This time we saw a lot more of Shawn's comedy set. It was easier to see why this ex-Marine is so popular. His questionable childhood experience with baseball, Big Brothers and Michael Jackson got the show off to a fast start followed by his froggy voiced casino gamblers. But his new ghotee defense is a killer. Keep'em coming!" - Comedy Review by ComedyCritic.com

WEB SITE LINK

Host Club: Addison Point - Addison
"Recently seen at the Point in Addison, Shawn Halpin had a slam dunk, comedy performance in spite of a sloppy, not-to-sneaky, ambush by front table drunks. This comedian stuck to his guns and delivered 100%. Chalk one up for a real comedy professional. Shawn's Bagdad Statue Replacement Initiative kicked off the show followed by the rapid release of comedy that set the audience up for more power-lines like the one referencing the release of Latino students from schools. Then Shawn connected with some of the best material of the night as he described the tendencies of specially challenged grocery store bag boys. Shawn is a natural comedian that audiences love. Keep an eye out for more of Shawn Halpin, we will." - Comedy Review by ComedyCritic.com

TShaun
Host Club: The Ice House - Los Angeles
"We recently caught TShaun at the Ice House in Los Angeles. TShaun has perfected an urban-casual comedy that almost passes for laid back until you consider he delivers continuous laughs. No breaks, no stalling, it's all comedy in a beefy set that makes you wish more comedians would deliver comedy with the same level of consistency. Whether he's covering "lucky drawers", celebrity court cases or Chicago weather he knows what's funny and doesn't waste your time on filler. We want to see more of TShaun." - Comedy Review by ComedyCritic.com

Sardia Marley
Host Club: The Ice House - Los Angeles
"Sardia Marley you might be temped to call her the "Jamaican Comedy Queen". Something about her confidence and facial expressions are just plain charming. This comedian is 100% unique, unexpected and very funny. We saw Sardia Marley showing off her best side at the Ice House in Los Angeles. This is a great time to start following another comedy discovery. If Sardia is scheduled to appear, be there for some great comedy with a Caribbean twist. " - Comedy Review by ComedyCritic.com
