Suga Daddy
Host Club: Part Folio - Dallas
Dallas - "It was the back room, underground comedy stage at Part Folio in North Dallas where we caught Suga Daddy for the first time. If you haven't seen this comedian, you should. Suga Daddy is all entertainer. Fun, Fun, Fun. His dance moves got things kickin' as started. A problem with lighting and the mic (well it was truly underground comedy) had him doing a parity of the "can you hear me now" cell phone commercials combined with a "Can you see me now?" version for some real laughs. Natural, "situation" comedy can show you the heart of a comedian faster than his set. Suga Daddy has both. His signature comic rhyme and some funny "lap-dancing" led to an audience participation routine that had the house in stitches. Ya, I want to see more of Suga Daddy, you should too." - Comedy Review by ComedyCritic.com

Matt Golightly
Host Club: Addison Improv - Dallas
Dallas - "We caught Matt Golightly hosting the show at the Addison Improv with Doug Stanhope headlining. Matt was a strong start to the evening his cute vs ugly couples was an instant hit when he moved the commentary to the Little Rock Dollar Movies. In from Austin on short notice, Matt was a solid choice. The audience were instant fans when he described his recent Valentines Day breakup over day late bargain affection. Matt delivered a few more comedy killers before his next introduction. Watch for Matt when they give him more stage time. This is a comedian to watch any time you get a chance. " - Comedy Review by ComedyCritic.com

Jerry Rocha
Host Club: Addison Improv - Dallas
Dallas - "It was great to see Jerry Rocha one more time before he heads out to New York. He was featuring for Doug Stanhope at the Addison Improv this time. He started laying a solid comedy foundation working the close tables before he started delivering his set in a dance with the mic stand that is his signature. His explanation for Filipinos really delivered and then he followed with his comparison of Star Wars Jawas, the scavenger species, to Mexicans as he built up some comedy capital with the audience. Jerry leverages his Mexican heritage throughout his routine in some of the most unique bits. Clearly this comedian reaches beyond the current Latino comedy styles. This is not a comedian easily labelled as anything other than funny. " - Comedy Review by ComedyCritic.com

Jerry Rocha
Host Club: Addison Point - Addison
"We've been waiting to catch Jerry Rocha, a comedy name that's seen everywhere in the southwest. You can expect a high energy mic-stand leaning, spell binding performance from this comic wit. Jerry is a comedy original with a Tex-Mex legacy that never gets in the way of a broader comedy appeal. This is a comedian that seems to have a reservoir of rich material. Whether you catch him discussing emotions over a past girlfriend or the advantages of poker retardation, Jerry seems to have it covered almost as completely as the head of his "Mud Head Annie" or his "bug-eyed Chinese Goldfish". Oh, Jerry is going to make you laugh and laugh hard." - Comedy Review by ComedyCritic.com

Robby Bowen
Host Club: Addison Improv - Dallas
"Robby Bowen was filling a guest spot at the Improv in Addison for headliner Doug Stanhope when we caught him delivering some real comedy to the packed house. A dead ringer for a cross between John Goodman and Norm of Cheers fame, Robby started strong and finished strong with fast 4-5 minutes. Robby's got a casual delivery that compliments real comedy talent. He has some real stand-up classics. Great job Robby!" - Comedy Review by ComedyCritic.com

Robby Bowen
Host Club: Addison Point - Addison
"The Point at Addison, kicked off as a comedy work-out room, and it was. We found Robby Bowen trying out more of his new material. Robby is all-pro, delivering top quality comedy routines that the audience loved. It was pure funny as he started out with the differences between being married and single. Robert is comedy. Even the drunken hecklers had a great time with Robby on stage. His observations about an "I Love My Wife" yard sign cracked comedy thunder. But he really showed his interactive comedy skills when he inquired regarding the health of the Pope. Naturally, funny Robby Bowen is very bookable." - Comedy Review by ComedyCritic.com

Robby Bowen
Host Club: Backdoor Comedy Club - Dallas
"Have you ever seen Robby Bowen? We did at the Backdoor Comedy Club in Dallas. The audience warmed up immediately as he introduced himself... It may have been the most perfect self-description by a comedian we've ever heard... since Todd Glass. He knows precisely who he looks like and it's funny. He has the blood line and quite a few other lines that kept the audience in stitches." - Comedy Review by The Comedy Critic

Piper
Host Club: Comedy Thursdays at the Caribbean Grill
"We had the opportunity to catch Piper as he featured on the stage for Thursday Night Comedy at the Caribbean Grill. Another Texas comedy original, Piper delivers comedy that plays everywhere. Whether he's talking about $4 million highway department public housing, church donations, geni wishes or the income tax lottery, Piper is just funny. He has a range of great material that you have to hear and I hope we get to see more of him." - Comedy Review by ComedyCritic.com

Piper
Host Club: Players Club - Dallas
Piper, appeared at the Players Club with Juan Villareal, had one of the better 'Bernie Mack' imitations we've seen. His AA meeting routine was a strong piece that showed what he could do with good material. Hope to see more of this comedian. " - Comedy Review by The Comedy Critic

Neal Edwards
Host Club: Addison Point - Addison
"We watched as Neal Edwards negotiated with an overly lubricated front table of eight drunken hecklers in a manor that reminded us of killing ants with a magnifying glass. Unable to deliver a "real set", Neal did the next best thing, baby sitting the eight in the most entertaining professional way we have ever witnessed a comedian muster. It was more Improv than stand-up but nevertheless impressive. We would really like to see the stand-up side of Neal but the audience was entertained, by a comedy gladiator armed with superior wit and inspired timing. While probably not the entertainment that Neal had planned, it was evidence that Neal Edwards is definately a comic power with few equals." - Comedy Review by ComedyCritic.com

Anthony Perez
Host Club: Backdoor Comedy Club - Dallas
"Anthony Perez kept the energy high delivering some truly original material at the Backdoor Comedy Clubs in Dallas. Hot from the start, Anthony came through with a west coast set that translated perfectly to a packed Dallas club. Perez delivered solid material that kept the laughs coming. We hope to see lots more from this comedian." - Comedy Review by The Comedy Critic

Dixon Wiles
Host Club: Backdoor Comedy Club - Dallas
"Dixon Wiles came through with an all-pro delivery on a range of comedy routines. Not a slacker at the Backdoor Comedy Club, Wiles, exercised the "Subway Diet" in a routine that had the room rolling. He moved smoothly into a fast series of precision comedy strikes ending with a well delivered observation about one popular national holiday. Hope to catch more of Dixon." - Comedy Review by The Comedy Critic

Doug Richardson
Host Club: Backdoor Comedy Club - Dallas
"Pure talent, Doug Richardson really shined at the Backdoor Comedy Club in Dallas. Looked like we were in for another great performance of original comedy routines. The crowd loved every joke. Then Doug broke out with some uncommon, high energy, talented imitations of Ozzy Osborn and Casey Kasem that brought the house down. This a comedian that's all entertainment." - Comedy Review by The Comedy Critic

Aaron Wardrun
Host Club: Backdoor Comedy Club - Dallas
"Comedy is an art with so many brilliant styles. It was a pleasure to catch Aaron Wardrun describing his shower. The lanky, red head has timing and some great material that always catches you off guard. Just when you think you can call it, Aaron drops the hammer on another original piece that takes comedy somewhere new. The crowd loved every single joke he delivered. This comedian has real talent. Here's hoping the Backdoor keeps bringing this comedian back to their stage." - Comedy Review by The Comedy Critic

Jan Norton
Host Club: Backdoor Comedy Club - Dallas
"Jan Norton was all-pro as she delivered a crowd pleasing set everyone enjoyed at her Backdoor Comedy Club in Dallas. It was obvious, Jan's an experienced comedian with a comfortable delivery that's all fun. It was a rare comedy pleasure as Jan set 'em up and laid 'em out. Her express lane in the restroom took an unexpected turn at the sink... who knew? High energy was the style and she never let up, delivering some of the night's best comedy. Keep it coming Jan!" - Comedy Review by The Comedy Critic

Waylon Haselhorst
Host Club: Backdoor Comedy Club - Dallas
"Waylon Haselhorst could have flown in on a Kansas tornado but I won't tell you why... It's his "secret". We found Waylon on stage at the Backdoor Comedy Club in Dallas. This is a funny guy with some funny stories to tell. Watch out when he starts in on his puny routines. Hope to see and hear more from Waylon." - Comedy Review by The Comedy Critic

Tony Ybarra
Host Club: Backdoor Comedy Club - Dallas
"Tony Ybarra caught us all off guard when he explained his child support arrangements at the Backdoor Comedy Club in Dallas. But he had the packed house roaring with his short armed, half retarded T-Rex and moved on to his conversations with serious drunks. Tony's appearance was short but great. Hope to see much more in the future." - Comedy Review by The Comedy Critic

Cristella Alonzo
Host Club: Backdoor Comedy Club - Dallas
"The Backdoor Comedy Club discovered another Dallas original. Cristella Alonzo. This girl is funny. Totally funny. It all started with a babysitter adoption routine and quickly moved on to her nail salon idea. Cristella is just plain refreshing with big jokes that delivered big laughs. Next time you see her, ask about Chunky Cheese." - Comedy Review by The Comedy Critic

DD Ingram
Host Club: Backdoor Comedy Club - Dallas
"DD Ingram seems to like audiences and the audience at the Backdoor Comedy Club in Dallas liked him back. This is a natural comedian with a quick wit and fast tongue. He proved it as he worked the crowd with his brand of high energy comedy. His wordification was fully participated by the audience. Ok, you might not apprehend the consex of the dis-immitation here but DD Ingram has a few friends that would and it's funny." - Comedy Review by The Comedy Critic

Dustin Ybarra
Host Club: Backdoor Comedy Club - Dallas
"We got a quick look at Dustin Ybarra during our recent visit to the Backdoor Comedy Club in Dallas. It was short but showed real promise when he delivered a solid routine about his brush with a Geo Metro, clearly not his first choice in transportation. Hope to see more original comedy from Dustin." - Comedy Review by The Comedy Critic

Vince Quick
Host Club: Backdoor Comedy Club - Dallas
"Vince Quick had great night. His Backdoor Comedy Club appearance was a solid closer. No doubt chosen for the strength of his material and delivery. His descriptions of Dallas drivers were spot-on but his senior citizen description had the audience roaring. Vince delivers the kind of high energy comedy performance that most comedians spend a career trying to find. Vince makes it look easy." - Comedy Review by The Comedy Critic

Mr. Success
Host Club: Players Club - Dallas
"Mr. Success made it to the stage in a brief appearance at the Players Club in Dallas. Success' comedy evening blossomed when his hat went back on and ultimately took him to a series of solidly funny celebrity jokes that got the crowd's attention. Hope to see a lot more of Success in the coming years." - Comedy Review by ComedyCritic.com

Roberto
Host Club: Comedy Thursdays at the Caribbean Grill - Dallas
Roberto found the stage friendly with a solid magic set mixed with some real humor. More magician than comic at this point but definitely an entertainer. If you get a chance to catch Roberto's act you'll enjoy the show. " - Comedy Review by The Comedy Critic

Krazy Karl
Host Club: Comedy Thursdays at the Caribbean Grill - Dallas
Caught Krazy Karl at the Caribbean Grill in Dallas where we worked a tough crowd with some solid comedy. Always tough with a small crowd, Krazy Karl kept delivering. His routines on bootleg movies, the Candyman and gravy were killers... Now that's some range... Just in from Tennessee, he was a hit and ran." - Comedy Review by The Comedy Critic

Ready Red
Host Club: Players Club - Dallas
"He's a Dallas treasure... Ready Red natural comedian. Baby blue suit, white shoes and a tilted broad rimmed hat... all Ready needs is a stage and a few minutes. At fifty-something, this is a showman with a keen sense of humor. Red clearly knows what's funny... all I can say is I want to see lots more from this entertainer. I can hardly wait to see what he comes up with. Red has the right stuff to become another Dallas comedy legend. " - Comedy Review by The Comedy Critic

T Money
Host Club: Comedy Thursdays at the Caribbean Grill
You've gotta love T Money. His recent Comedy Thursdays appearance at The Caribbean Grill in Dallas proved he was all pro. He warmed up the crowd with some very funny routines about endless layaway and small 'one-man-towns'. Then he stepped up to the plate with a series of homeruns as he explained his Grandma's sweating walls... cross-eyed cousin, UPS funeral and finally his casket dancing routine... Once again Comedy Thursdays at the Caribbean Grill delivered a quality comedy headliner. " - Comedy Review by The Comedy Critic

We will go anywhere the budget allows but mostly we review Dallas and Los Angeles clubs. Sorry, we generally don't do birthday parties. If you want a review, save us a table in the back, and a few cokes... If we have an opening in our schedule, we'll be there for an honest opinion.
